Mai j\u00e4hrt sich zum 13. Mal der Todestag von Douglas Adams, dem Kultautor von \u2018Per Anhalter durch die Galaxis\u2019 (Original: \u2018Hitchhiker\u2019s Guide to the Galaxy\u2019). Im zu Ehren wurde gleich wenige Tage nach seinem Tod der Handtuchtag (Towel Day) als Gedenktag eingef\u00fchrt. Am 25. Mai tragen Fans des Autors und seinem Werk ein Handtuch mit sich herum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cEin Handtuch ist so ungef\u00e4hr das N\u00fctzlichste, was der interstellare Anhalter besitzen kann.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Im Jahr 2005 habe ich im Rahmen eines Artist in Residence Aufenthaltes in Innsbruck das Projekt \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gluecksbazillus.de\/hotspot\/hotspot.html\" title=\"Kunst Installation The Physical HoT SpoT von Uli Schuster \" target=\"_blank\">The Physcal HoT Spot<\/a>\u2018 produziert. Neben der Audio Installation die sich auch mit D. Adams besch\u00e4ftigt, habe ich f\u00fcr die Aussenraumgestaltung eine Serie von Handt\u00fcchern bedruckt. Diese wurden damals mit dem guten Rat \u2018DON\u2019T PANIC\u2019 bedruckt. Erg\u00e4nzt wird dieses Zitat von den Initialen von Douglas Noel Adams, DNA und den GPS Daten von Innsbruck dem Ort an dem D. Adams die Idee f\u00fcr \u2018The Hitchhiker\u2019s Guide to the Galaxy\u2019 hatte.<\/p>\n<p>Kurze Zeit sp\u00e4ter, habe ich auf Grund des enormen Interesse an dem Handtuch eine Produktion eines professionell gewebten Handtuchs in Auftrag gegeben. Selbstverst\u00e4ndlich wie gehabt mit dem weisen Rat: DON\u2019T PANIC.
