The portrait of Joe Hatchiban by the artist Vhils is gone. The gap in front of the mural is filled with a new building. In 2011 the artist had been invited to create four large scaled portraits. Two are left… Have a look to the app Street Art Berlin for a preview, description and the naviagtion towards the walls.
I added 40 photos to my gallery: Street Art Berlin. A focus is on graffiti. The set is taken around the East Harbour in Berlin. An area of the old storages, today the home of fashion and music companies.

The Berlin districts Mitte, Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain are well known for street art, worldwide. From the tags, over paste-ups and graffiti to large murals. It’s already a history of decades.
But there are more spots… About the year 2010 the district Wedding initiated the project ‘Wedding Walls’. A campaign to revaluate the district with mural paintings. Over the recent years Urban Nation is the main host for the official murals in Berlin. Often they work together with the housing associations. With this concept the amount of large wall paintings is increasing. As well as the radius.
In 2015 / 16 four new murals were made possible in Reinickendorf / Tegel. Facades of 42 meter hight each.
